Rainbow Flight

    If love belies limits;
    if there is magic in dreams,
    I would fetch you the stars,
    and gather moon beams.
    If wishes could grant me
    the clouds in the sky,
    I would beg of your heart
    the light in your eyes.

    With the strength of your smile
    to champion my flight,
    with effortless grace
    from the loftiest height,
    I'd pull down a rainbow
    for the gold you may seek,
    and trade it with you
    for the blush in your cheek.

    Promise a kiss
    and I'll go get the sun;
    or promise me nothing---
    I'll still get it done;
    then on the trip back
    on a comet I'll ride,
    like a boat on the wind,
    for the sound of your sigh.
